Wedding Jewellery: Sparkle to Your Wedding Outfit

· wedding bangles,bridal bracelets

The big day is coming and you got your dress almost done, but now the big question is - what type of jewellery you should wear? If you have your dress already, you will easily find the right pieces. There is only one rule to follow as a bride and that is - stay classy.

Are you going to wear earrings, a necklace, a ring and a bracelet? Or do you plan to stick only to one piece? Before you start checking for necklaces, earrings or wedding bangles online, here are a few tips that will help you choose the right pieces.

Мatch Your Metals

First things first! When choosing your wedding jewellery make sure it matches. If you're going with white gold earrings, make sure the rest of the jewellery you wear is the same. And while you may like two pieces of jewellery made of different shades of gold, truth is, it may not look so great when you put it together.

A pure white dress goes best with silver, platinum, crystal or pearl detailed jewellery. White gold is also good, but yellow gold might look outdated and could clash with the bright white dress. A champagne wedding dress will go perfectly with rose gold, and even with platinum, while an ivory dress will get an ideal match in pearls and crystal pieces of jewellery.

Keep It Elegant and Simple

If you are wearing an extraordinary dress that speaks volumes by itself, you will have to tone things down when it comes to jewellery. This means that your earrings, bracelets, or necklace should be delicate and not too ornamented.

For instance, if your gown is ornate with lace or pearls, your jewellery will have to stay minimal. So besides a pair of dainty earrings, you might not want to go extra with other pieces.

Types of Bridal Jewellery To Consider

Earrings

Almost all brides decide to wear a pair of earrings for their wedding day. No matter what type of cut your dress has, the earrings will match it nicely. In fact, you can't go wrong with a pair of earrings, especially if they are elegant (pearl, crystals). Choose dangling chandelier earrings if your hair is up. If you're wearing a tiara, then a pair of simple diamond earrings will work just fine. If you're wearing a simple veil, consider long, pear-cut dangling earrings that will emphasize the beauty of your neck and face.

Bracelets

Bridal bracelets are another excellent accessory when it comes to bridal jewellery. They can be a great addition to your dress, especially if you go with simpler jewellery on your neck and ears (or no jewellery at all).  If you are already eyeing some wedding bangles online, make sure to think of several things such as the dress of course, whether or not you're wearing bridal gloves, and the rest of the jewellery you will wear.

Go with a simple crystal bridal rosary bracelet that will emphasize the elegance of your dress and will match your faith on your big day. Or, you can go with the classic round crystal bracelet that is a timeless piece that you will wear for years, and give it to your children as an heirloom.

One thing to keep in mind is that the bracelet or bangle must not put shade on the wedding ring; instead, it should complement it (if worn on the same hand).

Pearls are always a good idea, so if you are already wearing a set of pearl earrings or a pearl necklace, choose a pearl bracelet as well.

If you're wearing gloves on your wedding day you can choose to place the bracelet on top of them and let the sparkly crystals shine on your wrist.

For the brides who value statement pieces of jewellery, a bridal bangle is the right choice. Bangles are sturdier and are perhaps the ideal choice if you're wearing gloves. Even if you don't, this piece of jewellery will complete your bridal look.

Necklace

Less is more, is usually the rule when it comes to choosing a bridal necklace. Unless your wedding dress is truly simple and you want to emphasize it with some diamonds or crystals, then your necklace should be delicate, almost invisible. Choose platinum, white gold or silver necklace.  Pearls are always a good idea, but you can choose also crystal pendants in the shape of a heart, bow, or geometric shapes such as circles.

Types of Decolletage

A sweetheart or strapless dress is amazing by itself, so it's best if you avoid necklaces, and instead focus on chandelier earrings.  A V-neckline dress is an ideal choice for a choker; it could be a thin chain with a simple locket or pendant. Most brides in such cases choose pearl chokers. Halter or reverse halter gowns are not suitable for necklaces. Instead, focus on decorating your hair. You can choose a long veil, sparkly tiara, or elegant hand-made hair slides. Headbands are also a great idea, but if they aren't your style, you can add some crystal hairpins instead.
